Call for Proposals – Draft Five-Year ATT Strategy

Following the mandate endorsed at CSP11 to develop elements of a draft five-year ATT strategy , the ATT Secretariat invites all relevant stakeholders to submit objectives, priorities, actions and performance measures for the strategy.

Submissions must be sent to info@thearmstradetreaty.org&  ida.scarpino@thearmstradetreaty.org​​​​​​​by 20 February 2026 (midnight, Geneva time).

Sponsorship Programme - Call for funding for CSP12 cycle

The ATT Secretariat informs States that the funding proposal for the CSP12 Sponsorship Programme is now available. The proposal presents the projected budget necessary to facilitate eligible delegates’ participation in the  CSP12 cycle.

States are strongly encouraged to review the proposal and contribute to ensure the continuity of the Sponsorship Programme activities. The document is available here.

ATT VTF 2026 Call for Contributions is announced

The VTF Chairperson’s Call for Contribution and the relevant document were circulated on 22 October 2025, and they are available here



Vanuatu becomes the 117th State Party 

Vanuatu deposited its instrument of ratification  on 5 September 2025 to become the 117th State Party to the Arms Trade Treaty. The ATT will enter into force for Vanuatu on 4 December 2025.

The Arms Trade Treaty

More about ATT

The Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is an international treaty that regulates the international trade in conventional arms and seeks to prevent and eradicate illicit trade and diversion of conventional arms by establishing international standards governing arms transfers.

The Treaty came into force on 24 December 2014. At this stage the Treaty has a total of 117 States Parties and 25 States that have signed but not yet ratified the Treaty.
