Vacancy Announcement - Junior Project Officer 

The Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) Secretariat is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Junior Project Officer.

The selected candidate will support the implementation of ATT Secretariat activities, including the ATT Implementation Support Project funded by the European Union, as well as contribute to operational and administrative functions through DCAF support services to the Secretariat.

Application deadline: 15 April 2026

Interested candidates are invited to consult the vacancy announcement and submit their application through the DCAF website.


Ecuador becomes the 118th State Party 

Ecudaor deposited its instrument of ratification  on 25 February 2026 to become the 118th State Party to the Arms Trade Treaty. The ATT will enter into force for Vanuatu on 26 May 2026.

Sponsorship Programme - Call for funding for CSP12 cycle

The ATT Secretariat informs States that the funding proposal for the CSP12 Sponsorship Programme is now available. The proposal presents the projected budget necessary to facilitate eligible delegates’ participation in the  CSP12 cycle.

States are strongly encouraged to review the proposal and contribute to ensure the continuity of the Sponsorship Programme activities. The document is available here.

The Arms Trade Treaty

The Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is an international treaty that regulates the international trade in conventional arms and seeks to prevent and eradicate illicit trade and diversion of conventional arms by establishing international standards governing arms transfers.

The Treaty came into force on 24 December 2014. At this stage the Treaty has a total of 117 States Parties and 25 States that have signed but not yet ratified the Treaty.
